There is a simple test that can be employed to assess the veracity of some of the world’s most popular philosophies.  If one wishes to determine if a particular group has the approval and sanction of God, one should first look at that group’s use of murder as a tool to promote itself.  If that group has actively been involved in killing the prophets and  the saints, any thinking person could surely see that a loving God could not be behind that philosophy.

The Jews killed their God.  They killed Stephen and many of the saints.  They attempted to kill Paul many times, but were frustrated in their plans.

Several hundred years later it was the Catholics who used the inquisition and murder to enforce their system of thought against all who might oppose it.

And then came Mohammad and the Islamic religion.  Muslims spread their new doctrine through systematic killing and forced conversions.

Stalin and Mao and Hitler killed millions upon millions of people in the name of communism and Nazism.

Many Protestant ministers were in the leadership of the mobs that tried repeatedly to kill and to silence Joseph Smith.

There is not a dime’s-worth of difference between any of these groups.  They are all charter members of the great and abominable church.

Killing the prophets and casting out the Saints were the cause of the destructions that came upon the Jaredites and the Nephites in the Book of Mormon.

It will be no different today.
