Alma said, “I know that he granteth unto men according to their desire, whether it be unto death or unto life…”  (Alma 29:4).

We get whatever we desire.  Good Christians of other faiths desire to be saved, and scoff at the idea of exaltation.  Consequently they’ll be saved, without exaltation, because they desired it.  (D&C 132:17).

My sister and brother-in-law scoffed at the concept of eternal marriage.  My brother-in-law emphatically stated, “We’ll know each other there, but we won’t be married!”

He’s right.  How sad.  We get what we desire.  After 61 years of marriage, and with his wife now on her death bed, he’s looking at the end of their marriage covenant.  Their vow was until death do you part.
