Nathan asked for a 4-color puzzle as a game to play at Elijah's birthday party.

Preparation

Make 16 cards, and write the name of one of the 16 variables on each.  Give the cards to the boys with the following instructions.

Instructions

Isaac, Aaron, Levi, and Hyrum are friends who live in a line of houses on the same block.

The house colors are white, red, blue, and yellow.

The boys are 10, 11, 12, and 13 years old.

Their fathers are an inventor, a lawyer, a realtor, and an artist.

Your job is to arrange the houses in the correct order on the block, to tell which boy lives in each, what his age is, and what his father does for a living.

Clues

1. Aaron lives in the red house.
2. Levi and the lawyer live the farthest from one another.
3. The white house is at the left end of the block.
4. Isaac is the son of the artist.
5. Ignoring white, the other colors are in rainbow order.
6. The artist's son is 13, and lives next door to Levi.
7. Hyrum is 12.
8. The 10-year-old lives to the right of Hyrum.
9. The first letters of the fathers' occupations spell the name of an untrustworthy person.

Extra Clue

10. This clue is unnecessary, but if the game players are too confused, tell them that the first letters of the boys' names spell a type of precipitation.
