Patriarchal blessing given by Joseph Keddington, Patriarch, upon the head of David William Hunt, son of James Hunt and Christana C. Folkman, born May 12, 1907, at Baker, Oregon.

Brother David William Hunt, I place my hands upon thy head and I give thee a patriarchal blessing.  Thou art worthy of the confidence of thy Heavenly Father.  Thou wert faithful in the spirit world and have been permitted to come down upon the earth in the dispensation of the fullness of times and have been born of noble parentage, and thou art of Joseph through the loins of Ephraim; therefore, thou art numbered among the elect of God and there is a bright future before thee, for thou shalt perform a mighty mission in the earth and be the means of bearing thy testimony to the honest in heart and be permitted to preside in the organizations and to be a natural leader among the young, and they shall surround thee and listen to thy counsel and advice, and thou shalt be blessed of the Lord and successful in thy labors among the youth, and many shall surround thee and shall call thee blessed.  Thy name is recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life and through thy faithfulness shall never be blotted out.  Thou shalt enjoy the spirit and power of thy priesthood.  The future shall come before thee and thou shalt go forth in the earth and the spirit of prophecy shall rest upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy to the people.  The righteous shall surround thee and shall accept thy testimony and shall be gathered into the fold.  Thou shalt witness the righteous gathered from the four corners of the earth and shall come to Zion and receive their blessings.  Thou shalt labor in the temples for the redemption of the dead and shall perform a mighty work for thy father and thy mother's house, and there shall be great rejoicing behind the veil, and the Holy Spirit shall bear testimony to thy soul that thou art accepted and shall reveal the will of the Lord to thee pertaining to thy mission and calling upon the earth.  Thou shalt witness the cleansing of Zion, the coming forth of the remnant of Jacob, the Lamanites, and they shall take an active part in building the new Jerusalem, and thou shalt be willing to labor in Zion and shall be willing to consecrate thy life and thy labors and all that the Lord shall give thee and place it upon the altar and devote thy time and thy talents in living the United Order and building the temple in Jackson County, and witness the gathering of the Jews and their conversion, and witness the priesthood, the sons of Ephraim, preside in the earth and the Gospel being preached by the Jews.  Dear Brother, thou shalt have a helpmate who shall uphold thee and sustain thee.  Thou shalt be blessed with noble spirits as children and sons to bear the priesthood.  Thou shalt be a blessing to thy father, a comfort to thy mother, a leader in the midst of thy relatives, and be inspired of the Lord, and through observing the Words of Wisdom enjoy health and long life, and the destroyer shall pass thee by, and thou shalt live until thou art satisfied with life and thy labors.  Thou shalt be blessed with the necessaries of life and none shall be turned away hungry or naked.  The widow and the fatherless shall be ministered unto, and thy life shall be a life of pleasure in the midst of Israel, and live until thou art fully satisfied.  Through thy faithfulness I seal these blessings upon thee and I seal thee up unto the day of judgment.  I seal thee up unto eternal life to come forth in the resurrection of the just with a host of saints, thy helpmate and relatives, and thy parents and enjoy the blessings of the celestial kingdom throughout all eternity.  In the authority of the Holy Priesthood and in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
