You can’t sit back and wait for the Spirit or your parents or your teachers to give you a testimony of the truthfulness of the Restoration.  A testimony is something you have to seek.  You must first  desire that testimony.  You must then seek it diligently and sincerely and with full purpose of heart—and the testimony will come.

Why should you even want a testimony?  It’s because of the testimonies of those who know.  Their testimonies carry a promise of peace, happiness, safety, and unimaginable blessings to those who come to know what they know and have experienced.

I am one of those who knows.  I have had innumerable prayers answered.  I know that Jesus Christ lives.  I know that He knows me.  I know that He loves me.  I know that the Holy Ghost is real.  I feel its influence daily.  I experience joy daily.

My testimony has led me to the making of covenants which have given me the Priesthood, an eternal family, and the promise of eternal life.  I love my Savior.  Nothing in this world is of greater value than my testimony, my Priesthood, my covenants, and my family.  When I die I will leave behind every earthly possession that I have; but I’ll always and forever have my testimony, Priesthood power, covenants, and those that I love.
