Gifts

My Creator has given me many gifts.  I am grateful for them, and  I find myself thanking Him for them each day.  Chief among them is the gift of repentance.  The gift of my covenants is another.  Third is the gift of my callings (Moroni 7:2) which have developed me and given me skills.  Fourth is the gift of the Priesthood which I am allowed to hold and to use.  Fifth is the gift of my eternal family.

These are huge.  They have all come from, and because of, my Savior.  They have provided me with joy, which is another giant, magnificent gift.

And I must add to that list of gifts the gift of the Holy Ghost.  I use that gift daily, and am so very grateful for it.

Seven gifts.  Seven previously unimaginable gifts.  Before my baptism I didn't know that any of these even existed.  Through the grace of God I have been made a partaker, and was given these gifts by my Redeemer.

I should add an eighth most valuable gift to the list.  It is that of my testimony.  I know that my Redeemer lives.  He has made all the difference.  He made this life joyful for me, and is opening up and preparing an even better one which will be glorious beyond my imagination.

These gifts are all eternal.  Unlike Christmas gifts, they are unbreakable, non returnable, without price, priceless, and mine forever.

Ten is a better number than eight, so perhaps I should add the gifts of knowledge and the promise of eternal life.
