Insecure boy

Marries less-than-capable girl,

The headline might have read,

Had the world been at all interested.

 

Alone,

They had no future.

Together,

They are the future.

 

The marriage

Was 35 years ago.

Today,

They are 35 in number.

 

Marjorie and James,

Ten children,

Seven spouses,

Sixteen grandchildren.

 

They’ve made her capable—

She can do anything.

They’ve made him secure—

With a hold on eternal life.

 

The world should have noted that marriage:

It was significant.

Future worlds without number

Are coming because of it.

 

Alone they could do nothing.

Together,

With God,

They’ll accomplish everything.
