Irrepressibility

“Hello, Marian, how are you today?”

“I’m simply wonderful!”

“Really?  But your husband just died!”

“He only went ahead to prepare things for me.

I’ll be seeing him again.

I’m simply wonderful.”

“Marian!  How are you today?”

“I’m simply wonderful!”

“How can you be wonderful when you can’t even walk?”

“I have children who care for me.

How could anything be better than that?

I’m simply wonderful.”

“Well, Marian, how are you today?”

“I’m simply wonderful!”

“But, Marian, you’re dying.  What’s wonderful about that?”

“I’ll soon see my Savior who I’ve spent my life serving.

That will be the ultimate experience of my continuing life.

I’m simply wonderful.”
