Justifiable Road Rage
Darold Parry was a truck driver transporting a load of hogs from Nebraska to Los Angeles, California. When he reached the big city, he found himself in stop-and-go traffic. A shiny, red convertible with a white interior and a male driver pulled up beside the truck. As the two vehicles were temporarily stalled side-by-side, one of the pigs in the truck let loose. Excrement of hog coated the convertible’s driver and the car’s nice, white interior. The two vehicles continued side-by-side for some time with the convertible’s raging driver shaking his fist non-stop at the powerless-to-do-anything driver of the truck.
On another occasion Darold was hauling a load of feeder calves when a police officer turned on his lights and pulled him over to the side of the road. The officer walked up alongside the truck. A steer inside let loose through the slatted side, and drenched the hapless officer. When he reached Darold’s window he simply shouted, “Get Out of Here!” and Darold continued on his way.
