Let Us Oft Speak Kind Words
Hymn #94
Additional Verses
Like the soft blowing breeze on the meadow,
As dusk settles over the glen;
The darkness is pierced by beams mellow,
As stars guide and comfort all men.
Let us try their example to follow,
In lighting the way for our friends;
That when life becomes dark for our fellows
We'll brighten their pathways again.
Chorus
Let us lift up our eyes to the mountains
From whence cometh strength to o'ercome;
Let us climb them in word and in action
That our faith may shine brighter than the sun.
Because of their lofty positions
Towers and mountains can guide us on our way;
If we then attain that same station,
We, too, will be guides for those that stray.
