"God made two great lights;

The greater light

To rule the day,

And the lesser light

To rule the night."  (Gen. 1:16).

 

God made two great lights

In my world, too:

One was the Son,

And the other was you.

 

Creation then,

Takes two great lights

For worlds and men

To be set right.

 

One is too bright

To be squarely seen;

But your reflected light

Focused the beam.

 

For lights are a sign,

And God has set you,

Upon earth to shine,

And be a light, too.
