Parenting is the basis of civilization. The majority of people who have ever lived in the world have no descendants today. The reason is that time after time throughout history people have become so wicked that the Lord has been left with no recourse but to destroy them and to start over. He has billions of spirit children waiting their turn to come to earth, but if they’re sent to wicked parents living in a wicked society, they have no chance to make anything good of their lives. None.

The same is true today. Many of our young people have no chance because they don’t have good parents. In Moses chapter 6 Enoch was told to prophecy. He saw two great and numerous groups of people who lived in tents. He prophesied that the people of Canaan would “utterly destroy” the people of Shum. Afterwards the people of Canaan would be “utterly despised” by all people. It was a case of the wicked destroying the wicked. The people of Canaan were themselves destroyed in the great Flood.

Good parents become celestial candidates. Poor parents prove themselves unworthy of eternal increase, and will find their inheritance in a lesser kingdom.
