Sequel to Muddy Boots in the Temple

“For the Lord giveth light unto the understanding; for he speaketh unto men according to their language, unto their understanding.”  (2 Ne. 31:3).

The story, “Muddy Boots in the Temple” is found on pages 281-282 of “Random Writings.”  That article needs to be augmented by adding two more examples of the Lord speaking unto men according to their language, and according to their backgrounds and understanding.

One is the story of the emaciated cow standing on a barren hillside in a storm.  That story is told in the article just previous to this one, “Paintings,” in “I Have No Greater Joy.”

The other story is “Feed My Sheep” on page 153 of “My Heart is Brim with Joy.”

The Lord truly does speak unto us according to our language, understanding, and experience.
