The Geyser and the Mud Puddle

A mud puddle was once near neighbor to a geyser. The activity of the geyser was an irritant to the puddle, because he was always being splashed. He wished the geyser could be banished from the neighborhood.
“Why don’t you settle down, and be calm like me?” the puddle asked the geyser.
“I can’t,” the geyser replied. “I’m so full of enthusiasm that I can’t contain myself. Besides, if I was to become like you, you’d dry up.”
