The Practical Joker

Once upon a summer, a troop of boy scouts went on a multi-day campout.  One boy thought it would be very funny, and a great trick, to put a big rock in the packs of each of his companions.  He stealthily carried out his plan.

But, alas, one of the boys found the rock, alerted the rest, and all the packs were divested of their heavy, extra burdens.

The boys were unusually merry on the long hike that day.  All but one stayed very happy throughout the long campout.  The only one who didn’t have a good time was the practical joker.  He discovered a big rock in his own pack at the end of the first day’s hike.

He pouted for the rest of the trip.

Application:

Each life has plenty of rocks

without others adding to your burden.
