The Priesthood

I found myself thanking the Lord for my Priesthood this morning.  It is a privilege to hold.  It is an honor.  It is a responsibility.  It is an incalculable blessing.

Because of it I have been able to find God.  I have been able to be baptized.  I have been able to be rid of my sins.  I have found forgiveness.  I have been redeemed, and saved from hell.  I have received the gift of the Holy Ghost.  I have been able to make covenants.  I have been able to make every covenant available.  I have been given an eternal wife.  I have been given an eternal posterity of best friends.  I have been given important things to do, the ability to serve, and have been taught how to do them.  I have been given the ability and the duty to serve and to save my progenitors.

The Priesthood has made me capable and courageous.  I have the Holy Ghost because of the Priesthood.  If one possesses the Priesthood and the Holy Ghost he can accomplish absolutely anything.  I can do anything.

Because of the combination of the Priesthood and the Holy Ghost I can think and can know truth.  I can write and express myself.  I can give blessings that are honored by God.  I can repent and know that I have God's approbation.  I can have peace, and know that my future is bright.

The Priesthood is everything.  It is a power.  It is the power by which I will become the father of worlds.  My seed will be as numerous as the stars in heaven or the sands upon the seashore.  It will be because of the Priesthood which I have been given.

I love the Priesthood.  I love the Savior Who gave it to me.  More than anything else I want to be worthy of it.  I want to please my Savior and Redeemer.  I want Him to use me.
