To Live Again With Thee

To be sung to the tune of “If You Could Hie to Kolob”

Oh, Thou who made us mortals, and decreed that life should be,

Who gives us breath and living, and supplies our every need;

Who gives us light and knowledge, and enables us to see

The path that will return us to live again with Thee.

Thou hast giv’n us each a body that is fashioned just like Thine,

But we here dwell in dimness while Thy realms are divine;

We pray that Thou wilt help us to endure infirmity

That through our strict obedience we may live again with Thee.

Our lives here are a moment, and if we prove true to Thee,

Then with joy Thou wilt receive us when it comes our time to leave;

And with joy we’ll claim the promise that through all eternity

We’ll again possess our bodies, and live again with Thee.

That through the Resurrection when the graves are opened wide,

We’ll again receive our loved ones, and have them by our side;

We praise Thee for Thy bounty, and for the surety

That in our flesh and fam’ly, we’ll live again with Thee.
